Ademoefeningen en meditatie in de lotushouding maakten lang geleden deel uit van een religieuze traditie, het doorgeven ging mondeling. Zo rond de 16e-17e eeuw zijn deze oefeningen op schrift gesteld. De laatste honderd jaar druppelt deze kennis langzaam het westen binnen, en zijn er vele asana&#8217;s (bewegingen en houdingen) aan toegevoegd. Er zijn verschillende vormen van yoga, van vrij praktisch tot meer filosofisch gericht. Hatha-yoga legt de nadruk vooral op lichamelijke bewegingen en -houdingen en ademoefeningen (pranayama).<br><em>Hieronder: Prana Mudra, het gebaar van de adem, waarbij je diep inademt en langzaam de adem weer naar buiten laat stromen terwijl de handen zijwaarts gaan. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery aligncenter has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium has-custom-border\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" data-id=\"393\" src=\"https:\/\/yennys-yoga.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/jenny1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-393\" style=\"border-radius:25px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yennys-yoga.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/jenny1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/yennys-yoga.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/jenny1.jpg 324w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure><\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Hatha-yoga, zoals ik dat geef, is voor iedereen uitvoerbaar: jong of oud \u2013 stram of lenig \u2013 en ook als je al jaren weinig of niets aan sport hebt gedaan. Zelfs de meest eenvoudige oefeningen zijn effectief.<br><br>Yoga helpt je om:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>je spieren en gewrichten soepel en lenig te maken en te houden;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>je rugspieren te versterken en je wervelkolom soepel te maken;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>een beter evenwicht in je lichaam en leven aan te brengen en te houden;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>makkelijker te kunnen ontspannen.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Iedere les worden een aantal staande, zittende en liggende houdingen gedaan. Aan het eind volgt een (liggende) ontspanning.
